After an outlandish weekend of travel, we are all out of whack with time and global positioning. The plane ride made me feel dog-tired. I catnapped minutely during the flights, so all day I have been groggy and zombie-esque. This hotel-type thing we are staying at has been so very peaceful and calming even though we have been here not very long. The call to prayer was beautifully foreign. It was a nice end to a long day.
April 23
Ahhh what a day. It was warm and sunny outside and we spent most of the day outside: at the beach, outside eating at waterfalls, and going to Roman ruins. I most enjoyed lying in the sun on the beach. It was very relaxing and a good change from the airplane. All of it was great. And I might have gotten a little tan. No burn, thank goodness. Right now we are sitting around yapping and eating pistachios. Great fun.
